Jacque Bermejo issue
Every Filipino web user must have already known about some issue that started with just a tiny comment. I must admit, i felt mad too, knowing how a fellow Pinay could make such statement. Its very disappointing.
I am in Singapore and i could tell that the whole world knows how much the Philippines suffered from the very recent tropical storm Ondoy, International news had it even here in Singapore the popularity of the storm tragedies does not go any less with the Famous Formula 1 which just ended last night.
Philippines is a know Christian country, i can still recall when i asked my housemate Jet about this "why Philippines of all places, a country barely striving, poor and economically challenged" and she said "because we are Christians, its just God's test to our faith"..
What i read in facebook just now was an exact opposite. It was like, or it sounds like that we are condemned because we are sinners. I so hate the statements she made in FB, but i reservd my thoughts to myself until i know whats true.
Some people said that she's a victim of Identity Theft, and that her FB account was a fraud, friendster account got stolen, imo, i really dont know. But i wont be like her. I wont judge so easily, as i still dont know what's true. But, i will never ever be able to accept the statements she (or her account hacker) gave. Never. Whoever wrote that is surely a Filipino, she/he must have lacked so much love in life to say that.
http://chikamuna.com/the-case-of-jacque-bermejo.html
I am not in defense of anybody, not for Jacque, imo, but whoever you are that wrote that statement, its so damn easy to find you. Everything in the internet leaves tracks, from where you logged from where and what IP u are when u made that statement.
To my fellow Filipinos, lets leave this for now. Theres so much to do after a day of tragedy. In Real life, for those that suffered bec of Ondoy, for those who truly needs your attention. >> Offline.
PS.
To Jacque /or Jacques hacker : God knows ..

The logo of the Google spells Goog11e today to celebrate the event.
Here is the image if you are not seeing it at your place.
Google’s 11th Birthday
11 years is a long time. Some of us may have kids younger than that. Google is still perceived as a young company compared to their rivals like Yahoo and Microsoft.
However, they have had an interesting and very impressive journey in these 11 years.
We wish them well!
"
Happy Birthday Google :) hurray hurray :))

What is Hari Raya ?
After a whole month of fasting, the Muslim community in Malaysia celebrates ‘Hari Raya' with joyous family gatherings and open houses. Join in the merry-making and taste the delicious traditional Malay favourites such as rendang and ketupat.
What a day i had today :O so cool, and to end my day i was able to chat with my friend Apai who is a Malaysian and he said that he still would go out because he's still has the hari raya spirit kekeke, they go houses and eat, and its sooo fun.

A Toa Payoh Weekend
Thank God its Friday!
Lol. Days passes by so fast i'm still drooling on my keyboard for a better paying job. My friend asked a girl's night out today but i refused as i was feeling lazy to go out and i just wanna do house chores. So i had the washing machine programmed to wash, rinse and spin in one go and cooked a portion of luncheon meet, heat the water for drinking and put all things in place by the living room.
In an extremely short while i was done lol and the boredom is creeping me again like a nightmare. Finally i decided to go out and do the grocery. From the flat i took a bus and went stright ahead Toa Payoh Central. Fair Price Supermart ftw.
FairPrice is a supermarket that offers almost everything you will ever need at home, from Groceries to toiletries to household items, it even has baby corner for infant and toddler merchandises and the best thing - the fresh and frozen market ! i love it! you have everything there big and small. Payments can be made via NETS or Cash. If you would like to know their latest promotions jsut visit their website at http://www.fairprice.com.sg , not only does it serve your need in one location but you can also shop online and choose whatever you need at the comfort of your own home.
What i bought: Johnson's baby milk bath for my toiletries, Champi's wafer sticks for my snacks, spam,Marigold's no-sugar-added apple juice, Dodo's crab sticks, Tempura four, Toblerone mini bar and a bag Lay's classic salted potato chips, and FairPrice branded vegetable oil.
I went home exhausted but happy, i'd seen so much today, only by going at FairPrice.
Luv shopping <3>

Job Hunt in Singapore
A lot of Filipinos are up for working abroad . Proven true - Filipinos are everywhere. That's why even if it is dangerous and even if there's no assurance, Filipinos would often resort to taking chances. Equipped with undying hope, self belief and eternal faith in prayers, we Filipinos would never give up on a few obstacles, money, weather, health and even recession.
Singapore being an open country is one of the hot spot for Pinoy overseas job hunt. Everyday thousand of Filipinos hope to get employed before their tourist past lapses.
What to remember when hunting jobs in Singapore :)
1. Know what you're looking for.
It's a common practice amongs most employers to hire people depending on the degree they had or the line of work applicant's had been. Employers know the concept of overqualification and if they believe that their job requirement do not fit your professional experience, you will get rejected. Before you start sending your resume to some random websites, first and foremost, know your specialization.
2. Know Where to look at.
Know the sites that provides goodjob postings, a few are www. jobstreet.com.sg , www. jobsdb.com.sg, www.st701.com, www. job-q.com, jobscentral.com, there are also online forums that has classified ads section like www.pinoysg.com. It is also important to take note to grab a copy of StraitTimes an english newspaper during Wednesdays and Saturdays because those are the days when most jobs are posted.
2. Dress Up.
If you ever you get invited for an interview, come early, never ever let your interviewer wait for you. Dress properly, do not show too much skin, cleavage, knees, Singaporeans dress really freely but remember that when you are asked for an appearance, you are expected to behave and dress with utmost professionalism, to dont overdo your make up but put a little or some thats just enough to make it look like you prepared for that interview. Aside from dressing up yourself, dress up your esume too, and make sure you are equipped with knowledge about the skills they are looking for.
3. Take caution.
There are many agencies in Singapore asking you money for registration, even only on initial interview, some would ask a fee, after a few meetings you will soon find out that you are not hired and theres really no job hiring on that and you cannot refund your money. Since you are a foreigner looking for a job under a tourist pass, telling authorities will not do you much good for yourself. You will be tied up with more obligations because you are bounded by a pass for visistors only and thus should not engage with business etc, Unless ofcourse you hold a relevant employment pass which they called EPEC.
4. Pray.
This is perhaps the only thing common amongst all Filipinos looking for a better future offshore. Everyone keeps a strong faith in God for his Loving will and grace.
To All jobhunters, goodluck :)

My First Day Out
Its not actually my first time left alone in a place i hadn't been before, but today was the first time i travelled planning an entire journey from home to my destination and going back home. With the aid of a few websites, travelling alone was a fun and a stress free adventure.A few clicks on the net, and dyaran!!!.. everything is set for my journey, instructions where to ride and alight and what to look for. Singapore is truly a visitor-friendly city.
My goal : To get to Funan for a pair of cheap Headsets..
My Online Guide number 1 :
www.sbstransit.com.sg
My Online Guide number 3 :
www.streetdirectory.com
Streetdirectory.Com is an online map of the entire city of Singapore and it works even better than google maps. using this alone you will be able to get to where you wanna go . Just select Direction from the menu at the top and it will give you the things you need will need to know. It has a menu also for car drivers, bus riders and mrt travellers or both. Zooming the map will give the details of the street, names of malls, even the shortest alleys and underground passes.
What You need to Bring :
1. EZ Link Card - All major transportation means in Singapore uses EZlink. Buy EZlink card in any MRT station, Top it up and you are ready to go, to use the EZ link card, just "tap" it on the receiver upon boarding and upon alighting MRT or the bus. Should you decide to go for cab service, there are alot different ways to pay.
2. Cash - Bring extra cash, specially 1 dollar coin because you need it to ride the bus if you dont have EZlink card. Most specially you need cash for whatelse? Shopping!
Singapore is most probably the best place to buy electronics and computer gadgets. The latest models are available on a low price and there are plenty of shops to visit. The topmost floor hosts a bigger store that has the full spectrum of gadgets.
Any computing and PDA related item can be found in Funan IT Mall that has five floors of shops specialising to computers, both hardware and software.

SMRT is probably the best i enjoy in Singapore, travelling underground on a train was fast and it dont each much of your time waiting at bus stops for your specific bus number. At present there are 3 lines of operation in Singapore, the Red, Green, Purple Lanes, and the one still under construction, the Yellow Lane. MRT is so efficient it covers almost all major roads and business areas.
